2020 Audi Q3; SUV Redesign, Specs & Release Date
The tuning of the new 2020 Audi Q3 is in its final phase. In autumn it will start its production and already in 2019 the more sporting versions S and RS of the compact SUV of the German Auto Maker.
The segment of the SUV does not stop to contribute innovations of unpublished models or, in this case, new generations of already existing vehicles. The prominence in this article falls on the new generation Audi Q3, whose set-up has lined up the final line.
The official premiere of the Audi Q3 2020will, in all probability, take place in the Paris Lounge, to be held in the French capital during the first days of October. A few days earlier, production would have begun which, incidentally, will not be produced in Martorell (Barcelona), as has happened with the outgoing generation.
The new generation Audi Q3 has been news recently on the Internet thanks to the new spy photos that have been circulating, which featured an Audi SUV size content “squeezed” in the green Hell Nürburgring. Lovers of sportsmanship and benefits are in luck, as these new spy images could advance the development of powerful and attractive SQ3 and RS Q3.
The new evolution of the MQB modular platform of the Volkswagen group for front-wheel drive vehicles and the transverse front motor will be the technical base in which all the development of the new generation Audi Q3 is supported. Thus, the new Q3 will share many technical genes with the new Audi A3, VW Golf, and Seat León.
2020 Audi Q3 Redesign and Changes
One of the first and positive consequences that will benefit the 2020 Audi Q3 will be the weight savings throughout its range, with a reduction in the scale of at least 50 kilograms.
In addition to a greater lightness, the 2020 Audi Q3 will also grow in its external dimensions, with 6 cm in length (up to a total of 4.45 meters) and a wheelbase that is also greater (5 cm more). Thanks to this increase in its external dimensions, the interior of the new Audi Q3 will enjoy more space available for both occupants and cargo in the trunk. The passengers, by the way, will be great protagonists, because they will be able to interact with a new multimedia system of connectivity and entertainment and a new and attractive digital design in both the instrument box and the large touchscreen that will be located in the Dashboard. In this way, the 2020 Audi Q3 will incorporate the new evolution of the Audi Virtual Cockpit.
As for engines, the mechanical range of this compact Audi SUV will incorporate a varied offer. In petrol, it is to be confirmed whether or not it will bear the well-known three-cylinder Turbo Block 1.0 TFSi, a fact that would not have to be ruled out since models SUV of the group Volkswagen like Seat Ateca and the VW T-Roc also carry it (in these two vehicles, with the Nomenclature 1.0 TSi). The engine that will drive the 2020 Audi Q3 is gasoline 1.5 TFSi with intelligent cylinder disconnection system at power levels of 130 and 150 hp. On the other hand, in Diesel also will have prominence another turbo engine of 1.5 liters of displacement with several levels of power.
The SQ3 and RS Q3 Sports versions of the new generation of the 2020 Audi Q3 would cover the versions with power forks between 300 and 400 hp. The new RS Q3 would still be powered by five-cylinder petrol 2.5 TFSi, one of the engineering jewels that Audi has always presumed in recent years.
As for hybrid and electrical versions, the Audi Q3 would have the technical basis to incorporate a hybrid plug-in type (the A3 e-Tron, for example, has already been for a long time), even a one hundred percent electric supported on the new MEB platform of electric cars of the Volkswagen group.
