2020 Honda Civic Diesel Redesign & Changes

Here is The New 2020 Honda Civic Diesel. Honda launches a new version in its five-door Civic and four-door sedan: the efficient 1.6 i-DTEC engine can now be coupled with a nine-speed automatic transmission.

2020 Honda Civic Diesel Preview

It is the first time Honda has associated an automatic gearbox with its 2020 Honda Civic Diesel with a diesel engine. Until now we knew the Civic i-VTEC with a continuous drive transmission; However, for the 1.6 i-DTEC engine released last year, Honda has prepared a gearbox of torque converter and nine speeds, such as the 160 hp CR-V Diesel that is still sold (remember, that the new generation of the CR-V will not initially include diesel engines).

The Honda Civic 1.6 i-DTEC 120 hp was recently released to comply with the restrictive regulations of emissions, leaving for our use and enjoy an excellent dynamic and efficiency mechanics. Now, that same engine will be offered with a nine-speed automatic transmission, which will be available in the five-door Civic range (already on sale) and in the four-door sedan (starting in October).

Performance

The Honda Civic, with this mechanical combination, announces an average consumption of 4.1 liters per 100 kilometers (compared to 3.5 for the manual version) and 108 grams of CO2 per kilometer in terms of emissions. Accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 11 seconds (for the 10.1 seconds of the manual) and reaches 200 km / h of maximum speed. As in the manual versions, the efficiency of the mechanical block allows this 2020 Honda Civic Diesel to have the same catalyst that premiered the 1.6 i-DTEC at the time and a particulate filter thanks to which it does not need an AdBlue additive to comply with the normative.

Among its features, this automatic gearbox of the torque converter and nine speeds available in the Honda Civic, compact and lightweight, is able to “skip gears” to raise and lower gears, may rise two by two and even go down to four marches at a time.
