To propel itself, the Skoda Kodiaq RS – optionally available with an interior for seven occupants – will use a 2.0 TDI twin turbo diesel engine of 239 hp, essentially the same four-cylinder engine that is also included in the ranges of the VW Tiguan and Passat. The Kodiaq RS also has the honor of being the first Skoda model to incorporate the most powerful Diesel in the history of the brand.
The maximum torque declared for the Skoda Kodiaq RS with twin-turbo 2.0 TDI engine is 500 Nm. This engine is combined with the all- wheel drive and with the automatic double-clutch DSG 7-speed transmission.
As a good vehicle with a clear sporting component, the 2020 Skoda Kodiaq RS has undergone intense circuit tests to check both its reliability and its performance and dynamic capabilities. The pilot Sabine Schmitz has been one of the people who have most tested this sports SUV. In the Green Hell of the Nürburgring, Schmitz has completed a better lap to the circuit in a worthwhile time of 9 minutes and 29.84 seconds.
